Nationally recognized for excellence in education, Danville has approximately 1900 students enrolled in two elementary schools, a middle school and a high school. The teacher-pupil ratio is approximately 1 to 18. School facilities and structures are well maintained, with one elementary school in its second year.

Like all the major communities in Hendricks County, Danville touts an excellent educational system. More than 2,000 students are enrolled in two elementary schools, a middle school and a high school. The teacher-pupil ratio is 18 to 1.

The Danville School Corporation recognizes that the successful employee of the future will be a more independent self-learn and has integrated specialized skills and career training with academics to better prepare students for the workplace.

The Tech Prep Program at the High School offers courses in keyboarding, Computer Applications, Career Business, Applied Economics, CAD/CAM, and Graphic Productions.

Computer education is integrated into grades K-12, offering an advanced system of information-age technology linking students to limitless resources and dramatically enhancing learning.

Project Reach, a program for the gifted and talented, offers accerlerated classes in grades 5 - 12. Students can also participate in classes beyond their grade level.
